(a) In addition to the requirements of part 1, subpart F of this chapter, each application for an 218-219 MHz Service system license must include a plan showing how the applicant intends to minimize co-channel interference and interference to adjacent channel users and a showing that the proposed system will provide coverage (39 dBu) to at least 50 percent of the population (1990 census) or land area within the service area. (b) In addition to the requirements of part 1, subpart F of this chapter, each request by an 218-219 MHz Service system licensee to add, delete, or modify an individually licensed CTS (the CTS antenna exceeds 6.1 m (20 feet) (see Sec. 95.811(b) of this part)) must include a description of the system after the proposed addition, deletion, or modifications, including the population in the service area, the number of component CTSs, and an explanation of how the system will satisfy the service requirements specified in Sec. 95.831 of this part.
